Welcome to our website. Discovery Community, Inc. is an all volunteer organization whose mission is to provide gay and bisexual men ongoing opportunities for social connection, personal growth, and community development. DCI was founded in 1987 and is incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The organization is committed to being inclusive, and thus strives to keep events affordable to men from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

Games Night

Cost: $5 donation requested

Join us for a night of unadulterated fun enjoying some of your favorite board games. Huddle around a Scrabble board, deceive other players at Balderdash, or enjoy the crazy energy of Taboo. Lost of games and cards will be available, but feel free to bring your own. Or, write us to see if we already have something. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. No RSVP required, feel free to drop in.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving and Costume Party

Cost: $10 donation requested

Join Discovery this year for a fabulous Halloween bash. The fun starts at 6PM with Pizza and Pumpkin Carving. We'll all chip in for Pizza and then carve our favorite pumpkins and decorate the house Halloween style. At 8PM we welcome all to arrive and enjoy light refreshments, non-alcoholic beverages, dancing and our own costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and best pumpkin.

Please RSVP to socials@discovery-community.org if you plan to attend the early pumpkin/pizza party so we can ensure we have enough of both for you. No RSVP required for the costume party. If you have questions, contact us at the email address above.

Yes We Did,

Fundraiser Succeeds!

Discovery ended 2009 with a bang. We met our ambitious fundraising goal of $2,009 thanks to 36 of our generous members and friends and the challenge grant for a total of $3,351. Details on the campaign and a list of donors can be found on our blog at www.discoverysf.blogspot.com.

If you have been meaning to contribute and haven't had a chance, it's not too late. Fundraising is an important part of keeping Discovery financially solvent, keeping activities affordable, and allowing us to offer retreat scholarships through the Ted Devine scholarship fund.
